Livening up a midweek evening, on Wednesday the 8th of March we opened our doors to host an Open Studio™ with DINZ (The Designers Institute of New Zealand).
The Plato crew welcomed members from all facets of the Christchurch design community and enjoyed a social, informal few hours of mingling, convos, drinks and a great spread. (Big thumbs up for the great food supplied by Trenches Restaurant catering!)
We’re all super proud of our new building and jumped at the chance to provide this sneak peek for our guests, inviting them in for a nosey and to take away an insight or two into our studio – which is a design feat in itself – as well as the work we do.
Open Studio™ was started by DINZ four years ago as a means and opportunity for the design community to network and form new relationships. It's also great for students to actually be inside a studio, demystify and make the design world real for them by talking to people in the industry.
DINZ was officially formed in 1991 and represents graphic design, interactive design, spatial design, product design, design in business, service design and design education.
