Orange Homes build homes across a wide price range but most typically $500k - $800k. They don’t have cookie cutter plans, they show potential customers their plans for inspiration and then allow them to customise to suit their lifestyle.

This website has a primary audience of second or third-time homeowners, and now thanks to Kiwisaver assistance, a secondary audience of first-time home owners also.

A gentle enquiry nudge 

Our key goals were to drive sales enquiry for Orange Homes and to support the home building consideration journey by providing relevant information.

The answer to this was to ensure the path to enquiry is always present but never overshadowing or being intrusive of what the user is looking at; whether they are reading content or looking at a house plan, an enquiry form is always ready and waiting to be filled out.

Understanding the customer journey 

Designing and developing the Orange Homes website was an interesting learning exercise in understanding the customer journey. Deciding to build a home and selecting a building company is a long, considered process so one of the key challenges that was addressed was ensuring the website provided relevant information at each stage of the journey that added value and began to form a connection with the Orange Homes brand as a trusted partner. We balanced what the user is looking for (making it easy to find show homes, plans) while also showcasing Orange Homes’ capabilities and building process.
